Fees & Policies

Fees
​

My fee is $150 (GST incl.) for a standard therapy session (55 minutes).  

​

The initial assessment session may be 1.5 hours and costs $225 (GST incl.). 

​

Payment of services is by cash or EFTPOS at the conclusion of the session.     

​

You may be eligible for funding through ACC Sensitive Claims, To Be Heard Wairarapa, or I Am Hope.

​

Cancellations and Missed Appointments  

Reminder texts are sent 24 hours prior to your appointment upon request.

I ask for your consideration in cancelling appointments.  Please give at least 24 hours notice for a cancellation.  Missed appointments and sessions cancelled after 8:30am on the day of the appointment will be charged at the full rate.

Ethical Responsibilities 
 

As a psychologist practicing in New Zealand, I am bound by the profession's Code of Ethics through the New Zealand Psychologists Board (NZPB).  The key ethical principles are respect for the dignity of persons and peoples, responsible caring, integrity of relationships, and social justice and responsibility to society.

Privacy & Confidentiality

I will treat all communication between us as confidential and privileged information unless you give consent to particular information being disclosed. Exceptions to confidentiality occur when there is serious danger in the immediate or foreseeable future to yourself or others, your competence to make a decision is impaired, a child/young person's emotional maturity and cognitive skills, and legal requirements demand that confidential material be revealed (e.g., mandated assessment and treatment).  Wherever possible, the decision to make an exception to confidentiality is made after seeking your co-operation (unless doing so would further compromise the safety of yourself or others).
